Wahakura to showcase at WOMAD 2009
Local Māori health provider, Manaaki Oranga in collaboration with local Taranaki weavers, Maata Wharehoka and Edith Tito, will showcase the wahakura at WOMAD New Zeakand. A dedicated workshop featuring live weaving of wahakura will promote the kaupapa.
WOMAD New Zealand is one of many international festivals held around the world. The festival is dedicated to celebrating the World of Music and Dance. The festival will be hosted at the Brooklands Park and TSB Bowl in New Plymouth, Taranaki on the 13-15 March, 2009.
