NZBA (New Zealand Breastfeeding Authority Board)

Māori SIDS was one of a number of groups who helped to form the NZBA in 1997-8.  Its key focus is to develop Breastfeeding Friendly Hospital Initiatives for New Zealand and to advocate for the implementation of the Innocenti Declaration.  Pauline Hopa is a board member who advises on Māori issues.

Child & Youth Mortality Review Committee Local Groups

A key part of the work of the Child and Youth Mortality Review Committee are the multi-agency, local groups of Agents that meet in DHB regions to review local deaths. The purpose is to analyse the causes of death leading to evidence-based recommendations for actions.  Māori SIDS team members are currently or have recently held positions on a number of local groups bringing SIDS / SUDI expertise.

HPF (Health Promotion Forum)

Health Promotion Forum is a national umbrella organisation for health promotion in Aotearoa-New Zealands.  Māori SIDS representative, Pauline Hopa is a member of the Māori reference group.
